How much retirement income do I need?

You’re not alone, this is the most common question we get. We believe the easiest way to answer this is by dividing your total net worth by your annual expenditures. You should have about 20 to 30 years of annual expenditures saved before feeling confident about moving into retirement. There are exceptions to this, but it’s a good rule of thumb.

Is an ESOP beneficial for employees?

An ESOP plan is a fantastic benefit for employees. We have worked with many employees that have ESOP benefits, helping them determine how best to leverage that asset as they transition into retirement.

What happens to my investment account and retirement account in a divorce?

No one wants to face the financial complications of divorce; it can be messy and painful. They must be dealt with carefully. Before agreeing to anything, make sure you understand any tax implications of your decisions.

How do company stock options work?

When do I have to make financial decisions after my spouse has passed away?

The emotional challenges arising from the death of a spouse can be overwhelming and cause the surviving spouse to delay making financial decisions. We understand there’s hesitation to change the name on your account, consolidate retirement accounts, update beneficiaries, contact a life insurance company, update a trust or will, and everything else that goes along with this trying time. When should I start taking Social Security?

Not surprisingly, this question gets asked a lot, and contrary to popular belief, there’s no exact answer. How do I plan for retirement when my biggest asset is my business?

This is actually a great problem to have. Wealth accumulation can occur through 401k participation, real estate interests, and entrepreneurship. We have tools and expertise to help you develop a plan and a clearer understanding of how best to use this asset as you transition to retirement.

Am I maximizing my workplace benefits?

Employee benefits are a form of compensation and should not be left on the table, unused. What can I do to prepare for higher inflation?

Inflation, unmitigated, can cause portfolio stress and personal worry. Different investment strategies can include varying levels of inflation risk. It’s important to consistently review your personal circumstances to ensure your portfolio is aligned with your expectations.

Can I participate in Venture Capital and Private Equity opportunities?

Possibly. Venture Capital and Private Equity, among other forms of alternative investments, involve some certain restricted access. We use these instruments for accredited investors, qualified investors, and qualified purchasers, who meet risk tolerance minimums among other criteria. We are able to review your situation to determine suitability.
